Working across mixed media, painting, photography, encaustic, and cyanotype, Kristina’s practice is rooted in her garden and shaped by encounters with natural environments through travel. Based in West London and St Leonards-on-Sea, she explores the dialogue between cultivated and wild spaces, observing the delicate balance between order and spontaneity.
Floral forms and botanical fragments become quiet studies of memory, seasonality, and transience. Through layering wax, pigment, and photographic processes, materials echo cycles of growth, erosion, and preservation.
Imagery appears ghosted and layered, fading and resurfacing through translucent surfaces. The work sits between documentation and abstraction, creating pared-back, contemplative pieces that balance fragility with structure.
